About the Farm
Great Blue Farms is a Denny family farm. Established in 1937, located in the Nantahala Community of Western North Carolina. The farm has been in the family for almost 90 years, originally Jodie's grandparent’s tobacco farm.
Great Blue Farms is a quarter acre "micro" farm committed to growing seasonal cut flowers without harmful chemicals or pesticides. Our aim is to use all of our flowers in our floral arrangements, but we do support other flower farms, wholesalers and foraging to create our beautiful floral offerings.
We hope you will enjoy the love and care we put into everything on the farm: our bouquets, on-farm events, and wedding work. Please let us know how we can celebrate you with our beautiful cut flowers.
Meet Jodie
Jodie McCord is a farmer/florist with a life long passion for gardening, flowers and plants. She dreamed of following in her grandparents’ footsteps by farming their tobacco farm someday. With the help of her mother, Susie Denny Beasley, and having generations of flower lovers in her family, Jodie felt flowers would be the perfect crop.
Jodie is a native of Macon Co. North Carolina, a master gardener, received a landscape and horticulture certification from Midlands Technical College and has attended many farm and floral design workshops and conferences.
